With the presence of color, textiles, and thread in our cultures, it seems necessary to examine the roles and roots of these materials in creating the process of art. This colorful and energetic exhibition features the work of six artists ( men and women from Israel & Knoxville, TN).
Through a combination of colorful paintings and textiles, themes of healing, duality, and more – human experience and rituals are explored. These artists exemplify a deep connection to the spiritual and natural world and encourage us to find a place for our inner Vibe.
Lilienthal Gallery presented its first exhibition in Knoxville showcasing a taste of their internationally acclaimed artists. Compromising a mix of mediums including acrylics, sculpture, mixed media, collages, and oil painting as well as styles from figurative to abstract.
The exhibition focused on large-scale artwork that makes a huge impact on a space, creating communication with the viewer of the space and the artwork. The group show exhibited artworks from Spain, Hungary, the USA, Israel, and Japan. All artists are of different ages and cultures.
Enhancing this collaborative culture, our Gallery offers to contribute a new flare of art scene and ideas to empower, inspire and enrich the lives of our community.
“Rooms,” was a solo show presenting a breadth of work by Ilana Lilienthal. A “room” is a space we create in order to be in, that we design to evoke certain feelings and emotions. When we create space, the goal is to influence both ourselves and others around us.
In a conversation with a “room” we live or work in, there is a dance between forms, colors, and objects – creating a distinct energy field. This show encompasses three rooms, each inspired by a different palette. Red, Black & White, and Amber, each representing a color field working as a unique spiritual, psychological, and emotional experience.
